About this event
Please join us for a lecture given by Professor Ben Vernasco of the Biology department.
Modern DNA sequencing technologies are now being used to collect large amounts of data from a variety of sources including the air, moss, and unconventional animal-derived substrates. I will describe how this technology is being used to understand the consequences of global change in ecological contexts, including my own research on alpine breeding songbirds threatened by declining summer snowpack due to global climate change.
