- ➤ After a kitchen fire in November, Whiskey C reopened last week with a remodeled kitchen plus new menu items as staffing builds back to pre-fire levels. The restaurant now serves customers Wed and Thu from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fri and Sat from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Waitsburg Times

- ➤ This weekend and Monday, Walla Walla hosts a winter book sale at Community Building (Jan. 23–24), a double feature movie at Echolands on Jan. 23, a cocktail competition at CAVU Cellars on Jan. 25, and an open sewing lab at Public Library on Jan. 26. Union-Bulletin
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Blue Mountain Grief and Loss Foundation will offer four grief and caregiver support groups at its center on Isaacs Ave in the first quarter of 2026. Sessions for adult grief support start on March 4 and for suicide loss support on March 3 (RSVP required) while dates for the senior and dementia groups will be announced. Waitsburg Times
- ➤ The American Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage and urges donors to help maintain lifesaving care. A local drive is held today (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, with additional appointments in Kennewick and Richland coming soon. Waitsburg Times

- ➤ Bluewood Ski Resort in Columbia County has rebranded its race program as the Bluewood Ski and Snowboard Team.
