- ➤ The Blue Mountain Community Foundation is accepting applications for spring 2026 grant programs that support basic needs, education, health, arts, economic vitality and the environment. Eligible organizations in Columbia and Garfield counties and Waitsburg can apply online, with award windows running Feb. 1 to Feb. 28, Feb. 15 to March 15 and March 9 to April 10. Union-Bulletin
- ➤ This weekend, local Valentine’s offerings include a market with artisan vendors at Milton-Freewater Senior Center Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a book and plant swap at Pepper Bridge Winery, a succulent workshop at Tranche’s, and a free breakdancing session on Sunday at 129 W. - ➤ The nomination deadline for the Union-Bulletin’s 39 Under 39 program has been extended to Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 5 p.m. — local community members can nominate leaders under 39, with submissions due by Saturday, April 11 for publication consideration. Union-Bulletin

- ➤ AAUW has expanded eligibility for its Women in Trades Scholarship to any woman enrolled or planning to enroll in a trades program in the Valley (including Walla Walla Community College and Walla Walla University).
