  • The WWU campus hosts 'Liquid Memory: A Collaboration with Water' featuring works by alumna Margot Stroop until Friday, Apr. 17. An artist reception is scheduled at the Clyde & Mary Harris Gallery on campus Thursday, Apr. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m.  Union-Bulletin

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Walla Walla Community College has received a STEM Innovation Grant from the American Association of Community Colleges (partnered with General Motors) to expand its Kids College program with new STEM learning opportunities for youth ages 9-13. The grant will fund courses and industry partnerships to build career pathways in STEM.  Union-Bulletin
  • Garrison Middle School has raised new campus banners to mark its U.S. News Best K-8 Schools recognition, ranking it among the top 40% statewide. Principal Kim Doepker says the honor reflects strong performance in state tests + student achievement, supported by dedicated staff and community encouragement.  Union-Bulletin

  • Washington state will spring forward on March 8 as Daylight Saving Time begins & clocks jump ahead. A 2019 vote to end the practice did not change the law because Congress has not approved a change.  KONA
