EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Walla Walla Community College has received a STEM Innovation Grant from the American Association of Community Colleges (partnered with General Motors) to expand its Kids College program with new STEM learning opportunities for youth ages 9-13. The grant will fund courses and industry partnerships to build career pathways in STEM. Union-Bulletin
- ➤ Garrison Middle School has raised new campus banners to mark its U.S. News Best K-8 Schools recognition, ranking it among the top 40% statewide. Principal Kim Doepker says the honor reflects strong performance in state tests + student achievement, supported by dedicated staff and community encouragement. Union-Bulletin
