- ➤ Blue Mountain Pheasants Forever Chapter 258 honored sixth-grader Ryder Los from Touchet School for his volunteer work during its annual benefit banquet on Feb. 28 at the Fairgrounds Community Center, recognizing his three years of helping with habitat projects + community events. Union-Bulletin

- ➤ Local distilleries DW Distilling and Hetterley’s XXX Distilled Spirits opened The Distillery Collective tasting room at the Marcus Whitman Hotel downtown on Thursday, March 12. Visitors can sample separate tastings with discounts when trying both local spirits. Union-Bulletin
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Walla Walla County Emergency Management said several roads were closed at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14 due to flooding, including Scott Road at Biscuit Ridge Road, Lower Hogeye Road at U.S. 12 and Scenic Loop (Mormon Road), with only local traffic allowed while 911 is reserved for emergencies.
