Lonnie W. White (48) was arrested after allegedly strangling a woman on Tuesday, March 25th at Trailer Haven park on East Isaacs Ave when officers responded to a 911 call at 8:15 p.m.; he is charged with second-degree assault with strangulation and fourth-degree assault after the victim told police he squeezed her neck.

The Walla Walla Public Schools Board of Directors announced that Dr. Ben Gauyan has been unanimously selected as the next superintendent pending contract negotiations and a background check.
