- ➤ Todd and Carrie Alexander will host an open house for Atelier Waitsburg on Saturday, April 4 (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.) on Main Street, offering a tasting room for Todd's wines and an event space for guest chefs to welcome new neighbors. Waitsburg Times
- ➤ Dayton Elementary grades 1 through 3 finished spring swimming lessons at the Walla Walla Y in February and March with support from the Friends of the Pool Committee + grants. Leftover funds will back a Duck Derby fundraiser during Alumni Weekend in July; tickets start April 1 at the Chamber. Waitsburg Times

- ➤ Fort Walla Walla Museum at 755 N.E. Myra Road will host its annual free open house, scavenger hunt, and sneak peek of a new exhibit on Saturday, April 4, marking the reopening of Pioneer Village and beginning a monthlong hunt with new artifacts (sponsored by STCU) celebrating America's 250th anniversary. - ➤ The Walla Walla County Department of Community Health is accepting applications for about $1.8 million in homeless housing project grants following its 5-Year Homeless Housing Plan + organizations must submit questions by Thursday, April 16 and complete applications by 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 21.
