8 at Blanchet Hall at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 412 W. Poplar St. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; guests choose a hand-painted bowl to fill with soup prepared by local culinary students and enjoy lunch.

Rooks Park was closed until April 15 after a child was injured near the interpretive displays at the Mill Creek Project on Wednesday, April 1 as local officials investigate the incident to prevent further injuries.
