ECONOMY NEWS

  • Walla Walla County's labor force has dropped by 3,327 workers since 2020, reaching a 20-year low as about 200 more residents became unemployed. Analysts say the decline is due to an aging population and seasonal slowdowns in agriculture and tourism—factors that may challenge local job growth.  Union-Bulletin

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • After withdrawing an earlier offer, Chet Childers bought the old Waitsburg City Hall for $130,000 on Monday, April 7 after another buyer’s deal ended during the feasibility period.
