- ➤ Robert Elizondo will retire at the end of the school year, so Touchet School District has begun a search for his replacement using Northwest Leadership Associates (Bill Jordan) to review community input from the April 15 meetings, with application evaluations starting by May 15 and decisions expected in early June. - ➤ Two free educational events are scheduled late April: a panel on Blue Mountains science on Thursday, April 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Walla Walla Regional Airport and a family-friendly Water Day on Saturday, April 25 at the Water Center at Walla Walla Community College (640 Water Center Drive). - ➤ Tulip and Chum Chum debuted at Columbia County Health System's Dayton campus on Wed, April 8 at a ribbon cutting for a new equine therapy program that supports physical, occupational, and speech therapy with ground interactions; full patient access will be offered in coming months (updates to follow).
