The 50th edition of the Walla Walla Balloon Stampede is set to launch May 7, building on ballooning roots that trace back to a 1972 Whitman College demonstration.
Organizers expect the event to draw thousands and celebrate decades of local aerial festivities.
🎓 Education
Walla Walla YMCA is recruiting youth lifeguards and swim instructors for its summer programs at the Prescott pool, with a lifeguard certification course running April 25-28.
Youth aged 15 and older will learn water safety, First Aid, and CPR skills to help keep swimmers safe.
