- ➤ The county's health department confirmed a measles case in an unvaccinated traveler — exposed abroad — who spent their contagious period locally. The only known public exposure was at Le Dang’s Mongolian Grill on Monday, Apr. 20; anyone who visited should check their vaccination records and monitor for symptoms. Union-Bulletin

- ➤ Third grader Sydney Smith from Waitsburg Elementary won nine events and set four personal records at the Sweet Onion Swim Meet at Whitman College last weekend.
