CULTURE NEWS

  • The Walla Walla Pride Festival will celebrate its fifth year by hosting a free, family-friendly event downtown at Heritage Square Park on Saturday, June 7 from 1 to 5 p.m.—organized entirely by volunteers, it will feature live performances, speakers, music, local vendors and community booths without food or drink vendors.  Waitsburg Times

EDUCATION NEWS

  • At Waitsburg High on May 14, the Class of 2025 found their senior sign-out meeting turned into a fun night—complete with a scavenger hunt, a color powder war and a BBQ. After the hunt, teams spray-painted a donated bus and relived childhood with games like parachute play and a pinata break.  Waitsburg Times

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Starting in July, a Report for America corps member will join the Union-Bulletin to cover federal policy changes that affect family health and child care access — the program aims to report on local challenges as clinics reduce services and federal cuts continue.
