- ➤ AAUW is accepting book donations at drop boxes across the valley ahead of the Fourth of July in the Park summer read book sale that will support local scholarships and educational events. Large donations can be picked up by calling (206-399-8488 or 509-540-7510). Union-Bulletin
- ➤ State Superintendent Chris Reykdal toured Prescott School and Vista Hermosa (a community of farmworker families) on Wednesday, May 27, as community leaders and students celebrated the funding that kept the school open. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ BIG Recyclers in Walla Walla diverted 1M pounds of glass from landfills by using a hub and spoke model that began three years ago and collects glass at the Airport District (every Tuesday), partnering with regional manufacturers to keep recycling costs low and expand community drop off events.
