EDUCATION NEWS

➤ College Place School District's new 10,000 sqft field house is nearing completion behind the high school, and officials say it will open this fall for student sports with a ribbon cutting planned in August. Union-Bulletin
➤ Walla Walla Public Schools received $601,756 in state funding to install a 125.1 kW solar array that will generate about 134,627 kWh annually and lower utility costs for its 18 electric buses by one-third, with installation set to begin during summer break + complete before next school year.
