Walla Walla Public Schools faces a decade-long enrollment decline that could drop enrollment by 115 students next year as officials prepare the 2026-2027 general fund budget.
District leaders are strategizing staffing and spending to maintain required fund balance reserves before board review in July.

AAUW Walla Walla is hosting three nonpartisan forums for local, congressional, and legislative races.
The sessions are on June 18 at the high school auditorium, Sept. 21 at Whitman College, and Oct. 8 at the community college, all starting at 6:30 p.m. and open for questions.

Rebeckah Turner from Community Resilience Initiative spoke with Union-Bulletin about how the nonprofit helps heal trauma in Walla Walla by teaching trauma-informed practices.
