Walla Walla police said a fight broke out Friday night on the 1600 block of Cambridge Drive where one person was hit with a bat and another was shot—one victim was taken to a hospital and the other treated and released—and stray rounds hit a nearby home without injuring its two occupants while no suspects have been named.

Walla Walla City Council will consider adopting regulations on Wednesday, June 11 to permit existing streateries in downtown.

The meeting will update public guidelines that allow local vendors to keep serving residents.
