Josh Williams was appointed as the new District 3 member of College Place School Board on Tuesday, May 26, replacing longtime board member Todd Stubblefield, who now serves as a substitute bus driver.
A lifelong Walla Walla resident and volunteer firefighter, Williams works as an Area manager for Nutrien Ag Solutions and will serve until his term expires in November 2027.

Dog owners walking outdoors in areas like Palouse Falls and Wallula Gap are advised to try rattlesnake avoidance training that uses a shock collar with negative reinforcement.
The sessions help pets avoid western rattlesnakes active from April through October — training costs range from $75 to $220.
🏈 Sports
Softball games are now held in Waitsburg and Dayton instead of in Walla Walla, thanks to Dave Meliah and coach Chelsie Abel.
Forty-three girls formed four teams, and on Tuesday, May 26 the Waitsburg 3rd/4th grade squad won 7-6.
