Sergio Hernandez received SE Washington Association of School Administrators’ Community Leadership Award on Thursday, June 18 for his long service with Walla Walla Public Schools and local boards.

He leads the Hispanic Community Leaders Focus Group + mentors educators in community programs.

Construction continues on the new WinCo store along Southeast Myra Road as walls and roof are in place; crews work on site improvements thanks to the completed Myra Road extension, and officials say it is expected to open in October.
