- ➤ In Waitsburg, kids are set to enjoy many summer events at local parks, including splash pads and pickleball courts, as well as weekly camps from local groups. Local agencies are offering activities such as skateboarding, arts, and a Vacation Bible School from July 29 to August 1—followed by a family BBQ and games on August 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Waitsburg Times

- ➤ Effective July 28th, Target will no longer match prices from competitors such as Amazon and Walmart—shoppers can only compare in-store and Target.com prices within 14 days of purchase, so buyers must rely on Target’s own pricing for discounts. KONA
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An 18-year-old man in College Place pleaded guilty on July 9 to aiming and firing a firearm during a July 6 incident and was sentenced on July 21 to a 364-day jail term with 345 days suspended and four days credited (resulting in 15 days converted to 120 community service hours) by Judge Brandon L. - ➤ Jim German's art exhibit 'A Moveable Feast' is on view at Brasserie Four in Walla Walla from June 2 through August 9. An artist reception held on July 21 featured champagne and Etruscan snacks—most large iris drawings were sold during the event. Waitsburg Times
