A fire east of Walla Walla burned at least 10 acres and led to Level Three evacuation orders for a road near its origin as firefighters launched a five-alarm response after arriving at 2:57 p.m. on July 29—evacuation shelters at the County Fairgrounds opened at 5 p.m.
