- ➤ Sleep Fit Corp. and Mattress Land of WA Inc. filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in mid-July and closed all 15 Mattress Land stores by the end of June—two in Spokane and three in Idaho—reflecting broader challenges in a weakening mattress market. KONA
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Waitsburg School District said that starting in September, sixth graders will attend the elementary building while seventh and eighth graders will study in the high school now called Waitsburg Secondary School. The change repurposes Preston Hall for offices and storage and will use staff time and funds more efficiently—helping the district address declining enrollment. Union-Bulletin
