The Walla Walla Valley Chamber held a strategic retreat this week where board members planned new ways to update programs and engage local feedback—setting up events on Aug.
26 and in September to support community growth. These sessions include a Chamber After Hours with the public library and a Fall Community Connection at the historic Gesa Power House Theatre.
💼 Business
Owners Nancy and Kirk Klicker announced on July 31 that Klicker’s Strawberry Acres will end commercial strawberry production after 107 years—rising costs and new regulations forced the change.
They thanked the local pickers for their long-time support and plan to keep a small patch for personal farming while the Klicker Berries & Antiques Store stays open.

Simmerdeep Kaur, the new Report for America reporter, will discuss how federal policy affects child and health care access at a reception on Sept.
