Good morning, Walla Walla.

A College Place man—Tucker Cole Lightfoot—faces drug charges for possessing fentanyl with intent to distribute and for second-degree criminal mistreatment of a minor after officers discovered a grim studio apartment on Spitzenburg Street with unsafe living conditions; he is in custody with bail set at $75,000.
🌲 Environment
A wildfire burned 4,000 acres near U.S. 730 in Umatilla County as of August 29, with fire crews containing the blaze and no evacuations planned since the fire is far from structures—officials said the highway remains open but may close if the blaze shifts closer.
🏛️ Government
