Work began on Sept 5 to convert a downtown building into a new grocery store and closed part of South Colville Street and nearby sidewalks.
Permits show Natural Grocers — an organic store with grab-and-go meals — will use the 18,120 square foot site with a parking lot offering 36 spaces, including spots for bikes and EV charging.
Candidates for two board seats on the new Walla Walla North County Fire Authority will be able to file from 9 a.m. on Sept.
10 until 4 p.m. on Sept. 12 during a special filing period — all filing candidates automatically move to the general election for a six-year term.
