Camp Fire Walla Walla will host its third annual S’mores & Pours fundraiser on Oct.
10 from 6-9 p.m. at Burwood Brewing — 1120 E St — with $25 tickets that include a first beer or root beer while live music, a silent auction and games help raise funds for youth programming.

The Walla Walla Corn Maze will open Sept.
26—marking 25 years of fun fall designs—while Whitman College’s Board of Trustees will start a rooftop solar project funded by a $587,720 grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce. Baker Boyer Bank will host a free fraud prevention event Sept. 17 at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, Providence St. Mary Foundation raised $55,000 at the Fair & Frontier Days PRCA Rodeo, and the Pacific Power Foundation awarded local grants.

Phillips—67, a member of the 2009 Graduates of Distinction—has earned honors in both science and music and is expected in the Valley for the Wa-Hi Class of 1975’s 50th reunion from Sept. 19 to 21.
The Walla Walla Symphony is preparing for its new season as conductor Dina Gilbert leads an exploration of music with a schedule that will surprise audiences.
The season will open on Oct. 7 with pieces like Gustav Holst's 'The Planets'—which blends familiar works with innovative sounds—setting the stage for a series of discovery concerts.
