- ➤ Frenchtown Historic Foundation will host its Frenchtown Rendezvous on Sept. 27 at 8364 Old Highway 12 from noon to 4 p.m. The free event will offer cabin tours, music, games, a community potluck from 1 to 3 p.m., free hot dogs plus corn on the cob from Safeway and Don Johnson Trailer Sales, and kids can enjoy corn hole, historical trivia, a scavenger hunt and a rock hunt with prizes. - ➤ On Monday, Sept. 22, nine centenarians at Wheatland Village celebrated their long lives as family, friends and caregivers gathered to honor them with photos and biographies—highlighting milestones like military service, dancing achievements and decades of rich experiences in Walla Walla. - ➤ Waitsburg Lions Club held its 67th annual Salmon BBQ last weekend at the Don Thomas building, serving 520 diners despite competing events such as the Apple Cup and local weddings—many attendees praised the fish and socializing as the best they have experienced in years. Waitsburg Times
- ➤ The first annual Royal Block Party was held in an alley behind the hotel, Ten Ton Studios, Plaza Theater, and Wolfling Coffee in Waitsburg during a busy weekend that also saw the Lions Club Salmon Feed and the Waitsburg Historical Society Fall Festival. Local residents enjoyed food, music, alley bowling, and a ring toss game with live performances by Los Amigos con Groove and Friends of the Devil—adding extra fun to the celebration. Waitsburg Times
