- ➤ WSU Tri-Cities' Cougar Tracks program will host another 'Generative AI Essentials' workshop on October 2nd to give local professionals hands-on training with Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT—while covering ethics and real-world applications for both beginners and experienced users. Registration is open following a first session that drew over 30 participants from local industries. Apple Valley News Now
- ➤ On Sunday, Sept. 28, the Young Eagles program flew 128 children aged 8 to 17 over Walla Walla at Gorge Aviation Services — many experiencing their first flight in a small aircraft. Union-Bulletin
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Walla Walla County will host two forums on housing for the homeless—today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Olin Hall Auditorium on Whitman College where Gregg Colburn will present his ideas and answer questions. The second forum will take place Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Health Department office—county representatives will review the draft five-year housing plan. Union-Bulletin
