Hua’s Mongolian Grill closed on Monday, Oct.
13 after a failed inspection by the County Health Department that found issues with handwashing, food storage, and cleaning. The restaurant passed a reinspection on Oct. 15 and will reopen on Monday, Oct. 20—while implementing new safety measures.
Blue Mountain Humane Society is hosting its Fall Fur Ball fundraiser today at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, with dinner at 7:30 p.m. and ticket sales ending at 7:30 p.m.—the fundraiser will support shelter, medical and adoption programs while Interfaith Lamb of God holds soloist auditions Oct. 22 to Oct. 24 at Pioneer United Methodist Church, Klicker Berries offers new pies from Blue Raven Farmstand, and College Place received a $5,000 grant for a mural and pen pal program with its Mexican sister city.
Eric Hartwig is running for Prescott School Board Position 5 and is endorsed by his opponent Kaelyn Pyke—who filed when no one else did—to help solve the school district's financial crisis.
Hartwig, a Washington Department of Ecology watermaster and local community leader, said he will work to ensure the school opens for the 2025-2026 year.
