- ➤ On October 18, 2025, 1,600 local marchers joined the peaceful No Kings March that began at the courthouse and went down Main Street to Spokane—part of a national protest that drew an estimated seven million participants. The demonstration featured locals with dogs, kids and friends carrying homemade signs. Waitsburg Times
- ➤ The Healing Hands Project—a nonprofit in Kennewick—gives free feminine hygiene kits to women facing housing and money struggles and works with local schools while sending kits abroad. Dr. Rachael Fidino started the group after talking with homeless women, and it now helps with basic needs both here and in places like Ukraine and the Bronx. Apple Valley News Now

- ➤ Jennifer Skoglund, the airport manager, said an IT outage on Oct. 23 did not delay the midnight arrival or the 5 a.m. departure at the airport.
