GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Walla Walla city, county and College Place have agreed to share funds for a seasonal warming center this winter — with contributions of $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively — while officials look for a new operator after First Congregational Church declined to host the shelter again. The application process for the new operator is open until December 1. Union-Bulletin
- ➤ The Walla Walla Tambasasayama Sister City Committee will hold its quarterly business meeting today at Lincoln High School at 7 p.m. where committee members will review finances, plan fundraising for their scholarship fund, arrange fall 2025 and March 2026 exchanges, and receive an update on the downtown bridge project from Barbara Noel. Community members should arrive before 7 p.m. using the east parking lot since all other doors will be locked. Union-Bulletin
