- ➤ Waitsburg’s new artificial ice rink—built on the site of its old community pool on East 1st Street—will open to the public on Saturday, Dec. 6 with a ribbon cutting at noon and free skating until 7 p.m., then will operate on Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. as part of the Hometown Christmas Celebration. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ College Place Public Schools will receive a $200K grant from the Port for its $2.8M field house project—an indoor multi-use facility for sports and community events—that requires county commissioners' sign-off before award.
