The Wildhorse Foundation awarded over $68K to six regional projects including the Blue Mountain Action Council’s Backpack Bridge program, which provides weekend meals to students, and the Pocket Neighborhood Foundation’s plan to create accessible housing for adults with developmental disabilities—these grants support local health, safety and cultural needs. The foundation awards grants quarterly to help community organizations continue vital services.

Whitman College bought Big House Brew Pub for $1.5M from Jason and Denyse Hutchinson and will close the pub on Dec.

15 for renovations that will let it reopen as a community restaurant—operated by Bon Appétit Management Company and set to launch in mid 2026.
