- ➤ SOAR—standing for Social Opportunities and Recreation—hosted its fourth annual Friendsgiving event today at Blue Mountain Community Church with 44 participants with disabilities and eight volunteers. They cooked turkey, ham, and other dishes while building community and learning life skills. Union-Bulletin
- ➤ On Nov. 29, Waitsburg's Main Street will host Small Business Saturday after Black Friday—Wolfling Coffee opens from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. while The Press Room offers special gift wrapping and letterpress activities, The Royal Block holds a Last Chance Wines Sale, and other shops provide unique holiday finds. - ➤ Waitsburg Secondary School starts each day with an assembly in the Cage where Principal Joe Wirtzberger and his team share daily announcements, student shout-outs, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the school fight song. On Fridays, teacher Dan Nechodom invites local veterans to lead the Pledge—recently, teacher Elizabeth Jagelski’s father, a Purple Heart recipient, participated in the ceremony. Waitsburg Times
