Shoppers thronged the 61st annual AAUW book sale at the Marcus Whitman Hotel — over 280 people passed through its doors on Friday.

Running until Sunday, the sale offers books, DVDs, CDs, and collectibles while funding girls' scholarships through local volunteer efforts.

Waitsburg Elementary held the annual Kids Heart Challenge on Friday, Feb.
