Local distilleries DW Distilling and Hetterley’s XXX Distilled Spirits opened The Distillery Collective tasting room at the Marcus Whitman Hotel downtown on Thursday, March 12.
Visitors can sample separate tastings with discounts when trying both local spirits.

Walla Walla County Emergency Management said several roads were closed at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14 due to flooding, including Scott Road at Biscuit Ridge Road, Lower Hogeye Road at U.S. 12 and Scenic Loop (Mormon Road), with only local traffic allowed while 911 is reserved for emergencies.
