Families gathered at Veterans Memorial Golf Course on Friday, May 22, to celebrate summer with mini golf, food trucks + a movie while enjoying improvements such as a renovated clubhouse, new online tee time system, and enhanced fairways.

The course remains the only affordable public venue for family recreation.

Walla Walla Valley Transit will host its second annual Mobility University on Thursday, June 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Transit Center, 108 W.

Main St, where attendees learn to navigate the bus system, bike racks, and wheelchair securement — with free pizza and face painting.

The sixth Walla Walla Pride festival will be held Saturday, June 6, from noon to 5 p.m. at Heritage Square Park—featuring live performances, speakers, local vendors and community booths—while an after-party at Marcus Whitman Hotel will celebrate from 7 to 11 p.m.

Whitman College graduated over 300 students at its 140th commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 24 in Walla Walla; graduates received messages on unity and community + many are set to pursue careers in technology and consulting.
