- ➤ Veronica Esparza is named as the new executive assistant to Superintendent Ben Gauyan—she will replace Susie Golden when she retires on Aug 31st, and Esparza will assume the role on Sept 1st. - ➤ More than 67,000 cases of Power Stick deodorant were recalled from Washington stores on July 10th because they may contain benzene — a known carcinogen, so shoppers should check their cabinets. - ➤ Kayem Foods Inc. has recalled its ready-to-eat chicken sausage — labeled with lot code 179 and a USE/FRZ BY date of OCT 01 — after three consumers reported finding white plastic pieces in the product.
