- ➤ On August 20, officers responded to a loud pop near an apartment on west Maple Street and arrested a teenager who reportedly discarded a firearm after a bullet narrowly missed neighbors—he now faces charges including possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful possession, reckless endangerment, and being a minor in possession of alcohol. - ➤ Walla Walla police arrested a man after a SWAT team responded early Thursday morning to east Chestnut Street when he allegedly broke into his relative's home and attacked her, causing serious facial injuries and prompting charges of attempted murder, first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, felony harassment, and violation of a protection order—he was taken to jail.
