- ➤ Camp Fire Walla Walla will host its third annual S’mores & Pours fundraiser on Oct. 10 from 6-9 p.m. at Burwood Brewing — 1120 E St — with $25 tickets that include a first beer or root beer while live music, a silent auction and games help raise funds for youth programming. Union-Bulletin

- ➤ The Walla Walla Corn Maze will open Sept. 26—marking 25 years of fun fall designs—while Whitman College’s Board of Trustees will start a rooftop solar project funded by a $587,720 grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce. Baker Boyer Bank will host a free fraud prevention event Sept. 17 at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, Providence St. Mary Foundation raised $55,000 at the Fair & Frontier Days PRCA Rodeo, and the Pacific Power Foundation awarded local grants. - ➤ The Walla Walla Symphony is preparing for its new season as conductor Dina Gilbert leads an exploration of music with a schedule that will surprise audiences.
